members, you'll be able to scan your system for free, but will need to
purchase one of our inexpensive membership options to get those updates.
If you don't want to spend the money on this, don't worry, you still have
all the other free features of our site to enjoy.
Our DriverScan is also available as an ActiveX
browser-embedded tool.
Install & Run
DriverGuide Scan is an ActiveX component that runs within a web page. For
security reasons you will probably need to give it permission to run, see the
easy steps below.
Installing: You
must approve this ActiveX, see below!

These instructions will disappear when the ActiveX Starts.
Step One
You will likely see an alert bar appear at the top of this web page, click
the bar and choose “Install ActiveX Control...” from the pop
up. The software will download and ask you for permission to install it.
This may take a few seconds or a few minutes, depending on your connection.

Click info bar and choose "Install ActiveX Control..."
Step Two
A dialog will appear asking for permission to install the software. Click the “Install” button
and the software should start a few seconds later. Once the software is running
you’ll see a button that says, “Start Scan”, click that to
scan your system for updates!

Click "Install" and the software will install and run!

Step One
Click the button above, if the security warning pops up, click “Save” and
choose the directory you would like. When the download completes, run the application.

Click "Save" and Choose a Location
Step Two
When you run the install software, a dialog will likely appear asking for permission
to install the software. Click the “Install” button and the install
will begin.

Click "Run" and the software will
install and run!
